Toyota hat jetzt für die achte Auflage seiner vielseitigen Arbeitsbiene (Länge: 5,33 m, Radstand: 3,09) die Bestellbücher geöffnet. Ohne viel Schnickschnack stellt sich der neue Hilux als klassischer Offroader mit eiserner Pritsche dar. Zunächst rollt der hemdsärmelige Japaner mit einem 2,4-Liter-Diesel zu den Händlern. Der Vierzylinder-Selbstzünder kann auf 150 PS und 400 Nm zurückgreifen. Preis: ab 24 590 Euro. Allrad-Aufpreis: rund 3500 Euro.
