BMW hat dem X4 eine kräftige M-Kur verpasst. Das neue Top-Modell der Baureihe verspricht Performance pur. Unter der Haube des BMW X4 M40i feiert ein neu entwickelter TwinPower-Turbo-Benziner Weltpremiere. Das 3,0-Liter-Reihen-Sechszylinder-Triebwerk leistet 360 PS (265 kW) und kann auf ein maximales Drehmoment von 465 Nm zurückgreifen. Damit beschleunigt das X4-Geschoss in weniger als fünf Sekunden auf Tempo 100 und kommt auf 250 km/h Spitze (abgeregelt). Verbrauch (l/100 km) komb.: 8,6 l; CO2: 199 g/km. Preis: ab 65.000 Euro. Einen Einführungstermin hat BMW noch nicht verraten.
