VW setzt jetzt auch den Passat unter Strom. Unter der Haube des GTE steckt ein Plug-In-Antrieb mit einer Systemleistung von 218 PS und einer rein elektrischen Reichweite von bis zu 50 Kilometern. Der neue Volkswagen beginnt die Fahrt unter normalen Betriebsbedingungen stets rein elektrisch und damit emissionsfrei. Dieser „E-Mode“ kann – zum Beispiel gegen Ende einer Reise bei der Einfahrt in eine City – auch auf Knopfdruck aktiviert werden. Start: Herbst dieses Jahres.
