Hochspannung. Die EU steht auf Stromer und will jetzt die Entwicklung von leistungsfähigen Auto-Akkus für Elektromobile voranbringen. Dies ist das Ergebnis eines großen Batterie-Gipfels in Brüssel. Die Politiker streben dabei eine Zusammenarbeit der Autoindustrie über nationale Grenzen hinweg an. Dadurch soll der als höchst profitabel ausgemachte Wirtschaftszweig mit einem geschätzten Marktvolumen von 250 Mrd. Euro jährlich nicht nur in Europa wettbewerbsfähig werden, sondern auch weltweit. Strategien dafür wolle die Kommission bereits in Kürze vorlegen.
